Ruthann Kohrs

Ruthann Kohrs, age 68, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 25, 2018, at Kavanagh on 56th in Des Moines. Ruthann was born on September 10, 1949, in Des Moines, Iowa to Herbert and Betty Kohrs.

She was a member of Bethel Tabernacle which is now known as Experience Church. Ruthann loved ministering and praising the Lord. One of her favorite pastimes was having coffee with her friends.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Angela Kohrs-Ruby; her caretaker who was like a daughter to her, Carma Blackwell; her forever best friend, Lynn McKeever; brothers, Donnie (Marianne) Kohrs, Steve (Donna) Kohrs, Jeff (Michelle) Kohrs and Marty Kohrs; sister, Kim (Eric) Reimer; grandchildren, Dustyn Thomas, Christian Ruby, Donavin Zimmerman and Marie Kohrs; her special cousin, Dee Millard; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Ruthann was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Betty Kohrs, brother, John Kohrs, and her dear friend and prayer warrior, Valerie Zenor.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, with cremation to follow.
