So sad.
I first met Bob when we played basketball against each other in the early 80's.
In the 90's our sons played baseball together.
Recently, I would run into him on the bike trails or on Ragbrai. There was never a "high, how ya doing". Every meeting was a 15 minute conversation where I always felt better after seeing him.
Thanks Bob, for always making me feel that way. Love you.

I really only knew Bob as a customer at my bike store but from those dealings I knew he was a great caring man whom gave himself completely to his family and friends. Bob and I shared a passion for cycling. Sharing with family and friends whenever possible. While Ill miss Bobs strong smile I know hes waiting for us and enjoying some tailwind miles in heaven. Rest In Peace my friend.

I got to know Bobby during Above & Beyond Cancer's Race Across AMerica. He was a great example of living life to its fullest post-cancer. I remember him as very strong yet at the same time kind and gentle. Condolences to the family.

Sending love to Eric and Jake and the entire family. So very sorry.
The thing I remember most is the countless hours Bobby spent coaching my boys in baseball and basketball. He would even help with rides too. Rest in peace, Bobby. May you ride your bike all over heaven.
