Chad Allen Kent died unexpectedly in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho at the age of 35. He was born December 17, 1982 in Des Moines, Iowa and attended Norwalk and West Des Moines schools. He had a successful career in sales and as an entrepreneur. Chad loved his job and was damn good at it!

Chad will be forever remembered by his father and mother, Randy and Pamela; his loving sisters, Molly (Eric) and Chrystal; loving brothers, Eric (Daniella) and Jason (Season); his niece, Sophia; three nephews, Jasper, Zachary and Zane; grandma, Marilyn Probst; birth father, Jeff Anderson; extended family, Michael Mc Clure (half-brother), Emily and Tasha (half-sisters); and many other loving relatives. Chad was preceded in death by his birth mother, Lisa; grandma, Barbara Kent; and grandpa’s, Donald Probst and Lloyd Kent.
A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, Iowa.
A celebration of life will follow at 6:00 p.m. at Mickey’s Irish Pub Clive, 1800 NW 86th Street in Clive, Iowa. The KB’s (Kent Brother’s Band), Deputy Digs, and other guest artists will play in honor of Chad. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Chad’s life.

I met Chad when he visited Boston at least 10 years ago. I was the bartender across the street from his hotel. He absolutely stood out as one of my most favorite bar guests. He was so incredibly funny and sharp. I had a friend in him instantly. The world lost a beautiful person. Much love to his family, they raised one hell of a man. Rest easy friend. 143

Im remembering the times when you were as real and alive as anything, standing in front of me, but now seems like a trick of reality as if it was never true. Like a patch of time and space named Chad was ripped away from all of us. RIP brother.

I did not meet Chad until I was an adult, but I've kown the Kent family a long time. Losing a loved one so young, is so heart wrenching. My love and heart go out to all of you. Chad was an amazing soul. He was also a part of a strong and loving family.

We'll miss you at synagogue. We had so much more kitchenware to sell to the goyim.
I know you're rubbing your hands together and trolling the hell out of feminists in the afterlife. RIP bro.

I don't remember if it was confirmation class or just regular church classes, but it was 20-ish years ago, and the teacher was asking the class what we thought about heaven and hell. Chad, not a regular contributor, raises his hand and offers: "You know, I've always thought that when bad folks die... they don't go to heaven where the angels fly. They go to a lake of fire and fry." The teacher, blown away by Chad's profound thoughts, said: "Wow, what an interesting thought." Then, totally straight-faced, Chad concluded: "And maybe we won't see them again until the fourth of July."
I looked around the room, expecting to see everyone losing their shit, but I guess there weren't a lot of Nirvana or Meat Puppets fans in the room, and class just proceeded like nothing had happened. Thanks to Chad the theologian, I still have a good laugh every time I hear that song.
