Caleb Byron Wilson

Caleb Byron Wilson, 91, passed away May 15, 2018 at Ramsey Village.
Caleb was born December 18, 1926 in Des Moines to Caleb and Grace Wilson. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Caleb was a well-known home builder in the Des Moines area and owner of Cal Wilson Construction. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors and his family.
Caleb is survived by his children, Gary (Angela) Wilson, David Wilson, Diana (Jerry) Nizzi, Sandy Anderson and Lisa Wilson; brothers, Bill Wilson and Jim (Gladys) Wilson; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 70 years, Shirley; son Ronnie; infant son, Larry; brothers, Al and Robert Wilson; and sisters, Mary and Oral May Wilson.
The family will greet friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 with the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Caleb will be laid to rest at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Orilla.

Valerie (Bob), Terry & I just found out about your dad. We're so sorry we weren't there for the service to tell you in person how sorry we are for your loss again. What a great love story that your mom & dad are together again forever with Jesus! Love & Prayers to you all!
