David Dean Weander Sr., passed away on May 8, 2018. David was born in Palm Springs, California on September 4, 1960.
David was a Tinner, having worked hard most his life as he would say “A Master” in the heating and air conditioning industry. He was a proud father and grandpa. David later became ill with Multiple Myeloma which consumed him. As a cancer patient, David donated bone marrow to science at Iowa State University Hospital which he did this proudly everytime.
Preceding him in death were his parents; little brother; and his beloved grandmother who raised and cared for him as a young boy to become the man and father we all love and miss today.
David leaves behind his sister, Debbie; life partner of 17 years, Julie Yanta; ex-wife & mother of his children, Gaylynn Burnett and their children, Duane, Melissa, Billy, Michelle, and David Weander, Jr.; proud grandparent to Gabriella, Bradley, Payton, William, Robert, Olivia, Wyatt and Paisley. David will be greatly missed and remembered by countless friends & family.
A Celebration of Life for David Weander will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Pioneer Park from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We encourage family and friends to come and help the family remember the friend, father and man that David was. You were always there for me as a little girl kept me safe from the evils in the world and just to make sure i knew what they were,we would stay up late on the weekends and watch predator, aliens and texas chain saw massacre. When i got in trouble you were always there to make sure i did it again Right. You listened during the baseball games and taught me how to throw a curve ball. Even taught me how to ride my skateboard. I am who i am because of you. I am daddys little girl. I will always miss you. Every Pittsburg game or every inning with the cubs no matter where i am.
