Tony Thede

Tony Lee Thede, 65, passed away May 8, 2018, surrounded by his family at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

He was born January 23, 1953 in Boone, Iowa. He grew up in Boone and Luther, Iowa and graduated from United Community School in 1971.

On April 2, 1977 Tony was united in marriage to Patty Neese in Grant City, Missouri. To this union three children were born. They lived in the Clearfield and Lenox, Iowa area for several years before settling in Johnston, Iowa where he was employed at A&B Electric.

His true passion was spending time with his family and the great outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle.

Preceding Tony in death were his father Arthur L. Thede and grandparents.

Surviving Tony are his loving wife Patty; children, Mical Thede and Anthony (wife Shannon) Thede of Des Moines, IA and Crystal (husband James) Jensen of Marshalltown, IA; grandchildren, Cameron Thede, Emily and Erin Heckman, and Mason Thede. He is also survived by two sons, Chad and Jeff Thede as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service and inurnment will be at a later date.
