I am so saddened to hear of the passing of my friend from Stillwell and Valley High. How well I remember Melanie! How many times did we sit together; at lunch, in the library, and anywhere our group gathered. In my mind, I still feel the endless memory of conversations shared and flowing from one to the next everyday for so many of my formative years; always comfortable and welcoming. We were part of a home in tough and exciting years.
Melanie, always able to see behind the masks, bright, cheery, well-groomed, hilarious, sharp as a tack, hair-obsessed, so intelligent, good at imitations, able to think outside the box, beautiful, wise, smiling, kind, and always, always a friend.
Im carrying you in my heart my friend. You live in me.

Really missing my friend since jr. high, Melanie. Her humor is the thing that I will miss the most. I know she and her father are telling bad jokes in heaven right now. Bye, see ya 'morrow at locka! (inside joke). Love you.

My thoughts and prayers are with Melanie and her family.
I went to high school with her and she was always fun to be around.

I worked with Mel for a few years. Just a genuinely sweet person. Always willing to chat, always willing to ask questions, and ALWAYS willing to discuss the Packers with me. My days are going to be a lot more quiet. But the hurting is over now. Revelation 7:16-17 "Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

Im so very sorry that your dear Melanie fell asleep in death. God empowered his Son, Jesus, to resurrect some who were sleeping in death when he was on the earth. (John 11:11,43,44) This gives us evidence of what he will do in the future. "There is going to be a resurrection." (Acts 24:15)
With sympathy.
