Very sorry to hear of your loss. Jim was a big part of my youth and his influence carried into what I've taught my kids on the boat and in the field. All my memories of him bring smiles, and I can only imagine what a great father and grandfather he must have been. I wish he could have been around longer for you and your family. God Bless. Cindy & Family, We were saddened to learn of Jim's sudden passing. I had the honor of working with him on lots of occasions over many years he was at the sheriff's office, The best of times was when he taught me to fish and later when he took on teaching me pistol shooting. we were often able to combine pistol shoots and fishing. we made many a mile in his motorhome. I was very pleased that he talked you into marrying him. It was just what he needed. We will see you and the family at the Lakes celebration. Terry & Peg

Cindy & family,
I am saddened to hear about Jim. I had the privilege and joy to work with him at FFO many years ago. He was a great guy, hard worker, sincere, kind and full of life. I pray that you can find peace, and cherish all of the memories you have as you walk through this difficult time. God bless!

Cindy and family, I worked closely with Jim for several years. He was the most forgiving and patient person I knew with a "just try it again" attitude. I can still see him appearing in my office with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes - that "we've got a problem and not very much time to fix it" look. I always knew something was up, but he and I both knew that between the two of us, it could be resolved pretty quickly. He was simply a joy to be around. I will miss hearing about Jim's hunting quests and so wish he could have gotten his bear. I just hope these few memories help to ease your pain a little bit. May memories of times shared with Jim remain in your hearts and minds always.

Cindy and Family, Our condolences to you on the loss of Jim. We met him in 1979 and worked with him until he retired from DCSO. We also went fishing and hunting with him in Southern IA and the Lakes area. He helped us paint a new addition to our house in Spirit Lake. He was a great friend and fellow officer. May you find peace in that he was a fine man. He will be missed greatly. God Bless all of you. Bob and Monica Henderson, DCI and ISP, retired
