Mary Pool

Mary Lee (Jones) Pool died on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the age of 94 at the Altoona Nursing and Rehab Center in Altoona, Iowa. She was born on July 14, 1923 in Bloomfield, Iowa. She is survived by her three children and their families. Robert (Cynde) Pool and John (Mary) Pool from Runnells. Mary Lou (Tom) Ogle from Grinnell and her six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Mary loved to read, plant flowers and garden as well as spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She moved to the Runnells area in 1964 and resided there until 2015 when she entered the Altoona Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Lewis; her parents; two sisters and two brothers.

Mary’s ashes will be placed next to those of her husband Lewis at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa.
