Robert Dougherty

Robert “ Bob” Joseph Dougherty Sr., 65, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Mercy Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.
Bob was born January 5, 1943 in Marshalltown to David and Elsie Dougherty. He served in the US Army. Bob was a manager at Target. He loved spending time with his family. Bob was an avid Hawkeye fan as well as a fan of the Chicago White Sox. He enjoyed walking as well as sports in general.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Ellen; his son, Joe (Tiffini) Dougherty; his grandchildren, Breathe and Alight; his brothers, Dick (Bev), Larry (Ramona) and Jerry (Caril) Dougherty; his 7 foster brothers and 1 foster sister.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in loving memory of Bob.
