Kathryn Jean Kuskulis

Kathryn “Jeannie” Kuskulis, 65, died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 21, 2008 at Walnut Hills United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Jeannie was born July 27, 1942 in Des Moines to Cecil and Vena McRae. She graduated from Ankeny High School. Jeannie worked as the long-time office manager for Doctors Clysta Richard and Beverly Robinson from 1964 to 1993. Jeannie then worked for Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons until her retirement in 2000. Jeannie was an active member and volunteer of Walnut Hills United Methodist Church. She was also a founding member of Potpourri Painters. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, cooking, painting, collecting antique glassware and spending time with family and friends.
Jeannie is survived by her sister, Dorothy Mally of West Des Moines; her brother, Robert McRae (Alice) of Cochran, GA.; her nieces and nephews, Bob Mally (Sue), Judy Klonglan (Bob), Sandy Holmes (Mike), Neil McRae (Sherri), Rex McRae, Steven McRae (Julie) and Julie Schock (Bryan); and her ten great-nieces and six great-nephews. Also surviving Jeannie is her former husband, Dave Kuskulis and his brothers, Gary Kuskulis (Ben Costa), and Dan Kuskulis (Rhonda) and niece Ashley. She was preceded in death by her parents. Jeannie will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.
