Gladys Bieghler

Gladys Bieghler, 93, of Ankeny, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Altoona Nursing and Rehab. Gladys was born May 21, 1913 to Basil and Lillian (Chittenden) Pierce in Madrid. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue; visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Hopkins Grove Cemetery in Polk County.
Gladys is survived by her sons, Robert (Ailene) Bieghler of Altoona, William (Diana) Bieghler of Des Moines, Raymond Bieghler of Ankeny, Lavern Bieghler of Berwick, Richard (Linda) of Indianapolis, IN, Melvin Bieghler of Des Moines, her daughter, Sharon (Kenny) Grismore of Chariton, her son, her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Bieghler of Ankeny; 24 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchild.
Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll, and her sons, Donald and Ronald.
