Service Details
Geraldine Hood, 75, died Friday, June 20, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 11:00 am at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. followed by burial at Rising Sun Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, June 23 after 6:00 pm.
Geraldine was born July 8, 1932 in Des Moines to Iona Payton and Gerald Toney.
Geraldine is survived by her children; Vickie (Gary) Sherzan of Altoona, Donald (Sue) Hood, Deborah (Terry) Aldridge, Robert Hood all of Des Moines, Rebekah Blair of Carlsbad, NM, Deena Dake, Paula Gomez, and David (Debbie) Hood all of Des Moines, sisters; Betty (Bert) Summers of Ridgecrest, CA and Ruth (Wayne) Betters of Hesperia, CA, 18 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; George Hood, Sr, son; George Hood, Jr. and brothers; Ray Lee Toney and Edwin Toney,
