Hazel "Jan" Middleton

Hazel Jeannette Middleton, 69, of Des Moines passed away on Friday June 13, 2008 at the Fleur Heights Care Center. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday June 17, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
Jeannette (Jan) was born in Omaha, NE on December 31, 1938 to Raymond and Martha Anderson. Jan moved to Des Moines and graduated from North High School in 1956. Jan was united in marriage to Dennis (Gus) Lindstrom in 1959, during which two children were born. Jan was united in marriage to Jack Middleton in 1980. She worked at Stover Publishing and Koch Brothers. Jan was a member of Douglas Avenue Presbyterian Church and enjoyed playing bells each Sunday.
Jan loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed gardening, quilting, and a good game of Somerset with her family. Jan is survived by her two children Randy (Joyce) Lindstrom of Columbus, NE and Sharon (Stuart) Twist of Des Moines; grandchildren Michelle Lindstrom, Emily Twist and Noah Twist; brother, Bruce Anderson; and special friend Ira Curtis.
