Barb and family, I am so sorry to learn of Dave's death. My late husband Mark so enjoyed working with him at Farm Bureau, and our entire family remains grateful for the part he played in bringing him on there. You will remain in my thoughts.

Barb, John, Dave and families.
I am so sorry on the passing of Dave. I have many fond memories when the boys were in high school and the big graduation brunch for John. Dave always had short funny comments for us. Treasure all the special times Dave shared with you.

This news, in today's Omaha World-Herald; that Dave no longer walks among us, is genuinely heartbreaking.
I counted him among my true friends at Burke (Class of `71) and often reveled in his high intelligence; even when he applied it to cheating at the paper & pencil game (take turns drawing a line between two dots, the one who completes A BOX, puts his initial in it; he with the most BOXES wins) we played in Study Hall(s), staving off mind-numbing boredom.
I lost touch with him in the early 70s... "The Gang"; terrifying the streets of Lincoln in that HIGH-POWERED Chrysler-something, I would, about ten years ago, start my Search For Lost Friends, with the aid of the Internet... I truly wish Id a started my search MANY YEARS earlier.
Condolences and best wishes to his family and his friends, ALL, who miss him terribly.

Barb and family, so sorry to hear about Dave, although we lost touch in recent years, I always remember Dave's sense of humor and how helpful Dave was when I moved to Des Moines and when you had the bakery. If there is anything you need, let me know.

Barbara and family.
We are saddened to hear about David's passing. We have known him for many years through the Scouting program and have camped many nights with him when he was active in Troop 48. He always kept a campout lively with his jokes and comments. He is a great mentor for both of your sons. When you had the bakery, he was the guy that served up Southern Pecan coffee on Saturday mornings. It was always a treat to see both of you at the bakery. Coffee was good too!!
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.
