Marilyn Eleanor Price, age 81, passed away April 22, 2018. She was born November 11, 1936 to Ancil and Francis (Grover) Godwin.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at Van Meter Cemetery in Van Meter.

Marilyn was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area, with the exception of 15 years spent in Fort Worth, Texas. Marilyn was a long time employee of BFI, and most recently worked for Smart Industries for five years. In her younger years she enjoyed fishing and camping. More recently she kept in touch with friends and family through Facebook and her computer.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Price, and brother, Paul Godwin. She is survived by her children Richard (Connie) Myers and Brenda Michael, grandchildren, Jill, Jody, Jason, Tarah (Chris) Peek, and Dylan Michael, great-grandchildren, Audria, Jaiden, Blake, and Gauge, sister Shirley Lindsey, and a host of extended family and friends.
