Vicki Sue McKee Casey

Vicki Sue McKee Casey passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. She was born March 7, 1950, in Perry, Iowa, to Emery and Vivian Gibson.
Vicki graduated from Perry High School in 1968. That summer she was united in marriage to Darwin McKee. To this union they were blessed with a daughter Stacy. February 3, 1991, Vicki married James Casey.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Vicki and her daughter Stacy had a love and friendship like no other. Vicki also loved her pets, especially her dog Daisy.
Vicki loved spending time with her family and friends. She also loved reading, gardening, shopping, traveling, and country music. Vicki loved meeting and working with people. She knew no strangers. This love of people provided her a career working in retail for over 35 years.
Vicki is survived by her husband, James Casey; daughter, Stacy Bjork (Robert); stepsons, Daniel Casey (Lynn), Mark Casey (Isha), and Matthew Casey; grandchildren, Dalton and Devon Timmons, Nicholas and Aaron Bjork, Hannah, Hope and Henry Casey, Rylin and Chase Casey; her aunt, Verda Whelden; as well as other loving family and friends.
A gathering will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, with a celebration of life at 6:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice in Johnston or Can Do Cancer.

So sorry for your loss. During these times it's hard to believe that we will be able to see our loved ones again but this hope is real, God assures in the bible that those in the memorial tombs will hear a voice and will come out of them. I invite you to read in your bible John 5: 28, 29 this scripture has helped me and I thought it could help you too.

Was two months short of the day
we were married almost 50 years ago, that you went on ahead of me... That 22 year adventure we

So sorry for your loss. Its so hard to lose someone especially your mom-best friend.
She worked at Spugeons in Perry with my mom Berenice Hager. Always enjoyed taking with her. So sweet! God bless.

I feel blessed just to have gotten to know Vicki and be a part of her life as she touched mine very deeply, as did the relationship she had with her daughter. We will miss her very much.
