Terrie Wishman
April 19, 2018
Terrie Wishman was born October 29, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa to Don and Marianna (Sherod) Johnson. She passed away peacefully Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Parkridge Specialty Care in Pleasant Hill.
Terrie married Larry Wishman on December 21, 1968. She was a proud graduate of East High School and worked for Principal as a claims adjuster for 26 years. Terrie loved her family above all else and always enjoyed her granddaughter’s sporting events. She enjoyed shopping, was a voracious reader, and will be remembered for her quick wit (and her sometimes quicker mouth.)
She is survived by her husband Larry, daughter Shanna (Chad) Hall, granddaughter Lauren Cockayne, siblings David (Jill) Johnson and Peggy (Craig) Hutchinson, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will begin at 10AM, followed by funeral services at 11AM, Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery after services.
In honor of Terrie, memorials may be directed to the family to go towards Lauren’s education.

So sorry for your loss. In moments like these, we as humans tend to rely on our own understanding and underestimate the power that prayer can have. Jehovah God assures us that if we pray for peace and strength he will give it to us. I invite you to read a scripture that will surely encourage you just as it encouraged me. (Philippians 4: 6,7)

Dear Wish,
Your Sweetheart was my best bud from kindergarten and on. She would always come with me to escape to the fairgrounds on our bikes or take a sack lunch to the main dome of the Capitol building (best view in Iowa!) for an adventure. We had a lot of adventures together.
There probably never was a better friend or sweeter person than the lovely girl you married.
And the fact that you took such good care of her and surely lived up to the vow I heard you give to her for "in sickness and in health..." and never let her down - this I pray, will give you some peace in your grief.
Thank you Wish, for being such a good husband to my dear buddy. You did a great job, Larry and I know she's forever grateful.
"TJ" will be with you and your family always. I hope her children and grand children have her smile. She will always be with me - in my heart and in my prayers.
With love and sincerest condolences,
Susan McCormack

So so sorry to hear of Terries passing. She was a big part of our past growing up. Our church family was a special group back in the day. She was part of an even more special family. Her parents were an instrumental influence in our lives. Heavens gain is our loss. Remember the past and cherish your memories. 2nd Cor 4:18 (TLB)
