Margie Millhollin, 84, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. She was born October 6, 1933, in Des Moines, Iowa.
Margie was a member of Grace Church, Gideons Auxiliary and a volunteer at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Kathy (Phil) Douglas and Kim (Craig) Gilbert; grandchildren, Zack, Angel, Heather, Chad and Scott; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Charles Mathis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m., with funeral service to begin at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2018, at Grace Church, 4200 E. 25th Street, Des Moines. Private interment will be held at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to either Gideons International or Mentor Iowa in loving memory of Margie.

Kathy and family, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. Such a sweet lady. I just learned of her passing today, seeing her obituary posted in the volunteer office here at Lutheran. May she rest in peace.

I worked with Margie in 1981 & 1982 at Federal Machine in Des Moines. We have kept in touch by email all these years. She even came to my husband's visitation 4 yrs. ago along with Georgia who also worked with us.
My prayers and thoughts go with the family at this sad time. So sorry for your loss. Margie will be missed by all who knew her.

We heard from Amy about your mother and were saddened with the news, but know you are also celebrating her entrance to heaven with her Savior and other loved ones who have gone on ahead. My precious Grandmother. We will all miss her so much. My family feels so blessed that we were able to have her for a visit a month and a half ago.
