Jean Sorensen, 72, died December 19, 2006 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2006 at Highland Park Lutheran Church, 147 E Euclid Ave, with burial following at Pine Hill Cemetery. Jean’s family will greet friends one hour prior to services on Friday.
Jean was born November 14, 1934 in Des Moines IA to Clyde and Velma Sparks. Jean had a real love for nature and animals. She was always caring and feeding any stray animals around her home. She loved taking trips to Missouri with her brother Russell and sister Judy. She enjoyed having her many grandchildren and great grandchildren around her.
Jean is survived by her loving Husband Kenneth; sons, Greg, Marty, Curtis, and Chris; daughters, Sheila Vitiritto, Kennette Bowers; 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brother, Russell Sparks; sister; Judith McMillan. Jean was preceded in death by her sister; Sharon Angell, brother; David Sparks.
Memorial may be made to the Highland Park Lutheran Church
