Margaret Misenka
March 28, 2018
Margaret Elizabeth Misenka, was born on April 5, 1946 in Frankfurt, Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1967. There she made a life for herself, her husband Joe and the many pets they adopted over the years.
Margaret had many hobbies, such as quilting, cross-stitch, sewing and others too numerous to list. She was heavily involved with the Des Moines Kennel Club and proud of the ribbons and awards that Razzie and Sera won and all the friendships with the people and dogs of the club. Margaret was employed at the Social Security Administration until her retirement and also formed life-long friendships with many of her co-workers there.
Margaret passed on March 28, 2018. Per her request, she was an organ donor and will be cremated. She will be greatly missed. Online condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Margaret's death. Margaret and I worked together at SSA. There was no end to the funny stories she told. I still have a pair of socks that Margaret knitted for me - they have even more meaning to me now. My thoughts and prayers to Joe.

Margaret is one of the very special people that crossed my path in life and I will never forget her. We worked together for a short time in the Des Moines Social Security office, but kept in touch for the many years after I left. She was always lighthearted and happy and it was a joy to work beside her. We shared many fun puppy stories and she gave me some great tips for my dogs. My heart is heavy. Sleep sweetly dear friend, you will be greatly missed.
