March 27, 2018
Hans Lee Fowler was escorted by angels into the loving arms of Jesus on March 27, 2018 at his home in Urbandale, Iowa. Lee’s well-lived faith walk ended with his wife and daughters at his side. Memorial services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 602 S. 14th Street, Adel, Iowa on April 21st at 11:00 a.m.
Lee was born May 19, 1926 in Estherville, Iowa to John Wilbur and Martha Minna (Dörffel) Fowler. One of 14 children, Lee attended schools in Estherville and graduated in 1944. In August 1947, he was united in marriage to Joyce Marilyn Bremer of May City, Iowa. To this union were born five girls and two boys.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Estherville, Iowa in 1948. Lee was a devout believer that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and tried to live that faith. His prayer was that all his family will join him for eternity in God’s heavenly Kingdom. Lee and Joyce have been members of Faith Lutheran Church since moving to Adel in 1981.
Lee is preceded in death by his son, Michael Dean Fowler; his parents; grandparents; four brothers; seven sisters; a grandson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Aunt Joyce, girls and Jon,
Im so sorry for your loss. I remember the first time I met Uncle Hans & Aunt Joyce as I was getting off the airplane in DesMoines on our way to Estherville and my 1st Fowler Family Reunion in 1999. Aunt Joyce and Cousins my deepest condolences to you all may God hold you in his hands during this time of sorrow.
