Matthew Dunlap

Matthew David Gerald Dunlap, 37, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008 at the Iowa health Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines. Services will be held at 2:30 pm Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Iowa Center. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon to 3pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Matthew was born March 4, 1971 in Des Moines to Patricia and Harold Dunlap. He worked as a automobile mechanic. Matthew loved being with his children and his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed dirt bikes, cars and fishing.
Matthew is survived by his children, George, Harold and Johnny Dunlap, Christopher Kissel and Tiffany Dunlap; his mother, Patricia Dunlap; his siblings, Jamey (Missy), Steve, Harold Dunlap, Tammie (Ed) Hilligas, Sue and Kathy Dunlap and Diane Vilks, and a niece raised as a sister, Jenna McVey; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold, grandparents, Vern and Lois Carter, Agnes and Lawrence Dunlap, his father-in-law and best friend, George Davis and his niece, Stephanie Dunlap-Rome.
