Wayne L. Walters
Of Des Moines, Iowa
Wayne Walters, age 91, passed away on March 17, 2018 at Wesley Acres, Des Moines. Wayne was born to Leslie and Fern Walters on February 8, 1927 in Crocker, Missouri.
Wayne retired from Colonial Bakery. Wayne enjoyed nothing more than to be surrounded by his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Steve (Jan) Walters, Linda (Joe) Phillips, Brenda (Jeff) Jensen, Renee Walters, and Michael (Kelly) Walters; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife, Mildred.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the Wesley Acres Austin Center in memory of Wayne.

I had Route #24 the downtown Restaurant route during the 1950's and knew Wayne very well. He was a fun guy and will surely be missed. Last saw him at fellow salesman Stan Kepleys funeral. God Bless you all.
