Terry Pearl Rew, 66, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. She was born May 13, 1951 in California to William and Mildred Slater. Terry lived a very happy life. She enjoyed celebrating Christmas and St. Patrick’s Day and loved listening to music and reading. She retired from the V. A. Terry shared her life with a few different husbands over the years, so she may also be known to you by the last names of Slater, her maiden name, or Spencer, Spaulding, Ramsdale, Smead, Losh or Rew. In her own words Terry said, “Remember me as someone who has always felt very lucky for all the people in my life, and that I loved my life and everyone in it.”
She is survived by her children, Trina Spencer and Tony (Larissa) Spaulding; grandchildren, Jesse Holst, Cody Spencer, Dustin (Becca) Spencer, Katie Libby, Tanner Spaulding, Noah Spaulding and Kali Spaulding; nine great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Tanna (Jack) Freel and Teresa Hesseltine.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Robert Slater and William Slater.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday March 25, 2018 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines.

So sorry for the loss of Terry. She was one of a kind. I will always remember all the great times we had. She was an angel on earth and has earned your wings.

I have such great memories of you, years ago we spent a lot of time together. I will always remember the sparkle in your eyes and how much fun you were ! Fly high Terry. My deepest condolencese to the family. (Many of whom I cherish as well.)
