Douglas Thorpe, Jr.

Douglas O. Thorpe, Jr., 52, passed away at his residence on Monday, December 18, 2006. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 22 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial at a later date at Maryville, MO.
Doug was retired truck driver who loved to play the drums and was an amateur drag racer at Eddyville, Iowa.
Doug is survived by his sons, Doug R. Thorpe of Des Moines, Scott Thorpe of Overland Park, KS; step-son Steve Sciachitano; grandchildren, Haley and Ashley; mother, Betty (Gary) Julson of Ft. Myers, FL; sisters, Linda Garrison of Lake Bluffs, IL and Vicki Mundy of Vandalia, IL; step-brothers, David Julson of Osceola, IA and Steven Julson of Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Thorpe in June of 2005
