LaDonna Heath

LaDonna Heath, 51, of Johnston died Sunday at Mercy Medical Center after a tough battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines; visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Hiteman Cemetery in Monroe County, Iowa.
LaDonna was born July 29, 1956 in Centerville and was raised in Albia. She was the former owner of Hobbytown USA in Ames and Urbandale. LaDonna enjoyed quilting, cooking, and being a mother.
LaDonna is survived by her children, Tim Heath of Johnston and Lisa Heath of West Des Moines; her father, George Yarkosky of Albia; her sisters, JoAnn Latta of Des Moines and ClaraLu (Jim) Shumaker of Johnston; her brothers, Tom, Ron (Mary Jo), Dave (Lori) and Ed Yarkosky all of Albia. She was preceded in death by her husband Craig in 2007 and her mother, Laurie.
