Billy Johnson

Billie Earl Johnson, 78, died Saturday, May 31, 2008. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Winterset Cemetery. Visitation will occur from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Billy was born November 10, 1929 to Earl and Elsie Johnson. He grew up in Winterset and then moved to Des Moines where he was a heavy equipment operator.
Billy is survived by his sisters, Wanda McGraw and Mildred Gillespie; brother, Wayne Slayden; daughter, Rosa; several grandchildren; and numerous nieces; nephews; great nieces; and great nephews.
