Jean was a very special person. She was so generous with her time and hosting relatives and friends in her home. She was always so cheerful and interesting to visit with. We always enjoyed visiting with her on our annual trips to Iowa. I was looking forward to many more years of keeping in touch with my cousin. I know her family will miss her terribly; she was so close to her siblings. My heart goes out to all of you.

JEAN WAS A DEAR FRIEND OF OUR ENTIRE FAMILY. WHEN WE LIVED IN ANKENY, IA AND ATTENDED CRESTWOOD, WE WERE STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY. JEAN WOULD TAKE ALL 4 OF OUR CHILDREN OUT FOR LUNCH AND THEN TAKE THEM CHRISTMAS SHOPPING. SHE WAS AMAZED AT HOW OUR CHILDREN BEHAVED. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY WERE THAT GOOD OR IF HER EXCEPTIONAL LOVE FOR CHILDREN MADE IT SEEM THAT WAY TO HER. I WOULD GUESS THAT IT WAS HER LOVE THAT MADE HER BELIEVE THAT THEY WERE GOOD.
SHE OFTEN HOSTED FOLKS FROM THE CHURCH IN HER HOME AND MADE EVERYONE FEEL WELCOME. HER READY SMILE AND POSITIVE ATTITUDE MADE EVERYONE SHE CAME IN CONTACT WITH FEEL BETTER.
WE WILL MISS HER. I AM THANKFUL THAT I KNOW OF HER LOVE FOR HER SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST AND KNOW THAT SHE IS GREETING FRIENDS IN HEAVEN. IF ACTS OF KINDNESS CONTRIBUTE TO HEAVENLY MANSIONS, HER'S WILL BE LARGE INDEED.
OUR SYMPATHY TO THE ENTIRE FAMILY AND TO HER MANY FRIENDS.

I can certainly understand the depth of grief all of you must be feeling at this time. I had the great honor of knowing Jean for a very short time, but what time I did spend with her was well worth holding in my memories - I know all of you have many wonderful memories of a very wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Cil
