I am truly sorry to hear of your loss. Mick was one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I know he will be deeply missed by not only you but the entire Vernon family. It is very difficult to lose someone so special, but I hope the kind words you have been receiving about him will make you smile and feel better knowing he touched so many people in such a wonderful way.

Dear Fern,
I recently learned through an email from Bobbi that Mick had passed away. I was so surprised and sadden to hear of your loss. After hearing this from Bobbi I let my folks know and was glad to hear they were able to attend the viewing. Unfortunately living so far away it makes it difficult sometimes being with those you care about to offer support. Just know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was so sad to hear of the news. Mick was such an encouragement to me during a hard time. His faith and love of God was contagious, and his ability to strengthen other people in their faith was a true gift he had. He spoke so highly of his family, kids, and grandkids, and I know he will be missed greatly. Please take comfort in the comfort he gave to so many others. He left a mark in this world, and was truly one of God's warriors.

Fern and family,
Mick was such a wonderful person. He was so well thought of at the Vernon Company. I did not know Mick very well, but the few times I dealt with him, he was kind and understanding.
I have been a widow for over 1-1/2 years. My husband died suddenly, so I can understand some of the things you are going through. It's difficult right now, I know, but lean on the Lord for strength and understanding.
We will never know what God's plan was for taking Mick home to be with Him, but knowing that Mick is with our Lord can give some small amount of comfort.
I will continue to pray for your family.
God Bless you all, Jeanna Baker, Marketing Dept, Vernon Co.

Dear Mick's Family,
I had the opportunity to get to know Mick as the Credit Mgr at Vernon Co. This went on for several years by phone only. In spite that our reasons to talk almost always had to do with customer money problems, I truly always looked forward to talking with Mick. He was part of a small handful of people that I knew anywhere that would turn a potentially uncomfortable issue into a pleasurable conversation. He had a gift, that I'm sure he shared with all. A few years back, I finally got to meet him. He was even nicer in person.
My sincere condolences,
Dave Miller

I was so sorry to here of the great loss of Mick. Over the 10 odd years I have known Mick, I came to realize what a great man he was - both to family and friends. He was one, that in a time of crisis, we call all look to his calm and thoughtful ways.
Like everyone, I am going to miss Mick very much.

I am so sorry for your loss. I only met Mick once at a home office meeting, but I had the opportunity to work with him on the phone a lot. We talked of our Christian faith and our belief in Jesus Christ on several occasions. Mick made a very positive impression on my life the very first second I talked to him. I am going to miss him. But I,also, know he is with Jesus and that is the greatest gift of all.

Mick was a great man and a very good friend. You an be proud of him. I am going to miss our conversations in spanish. Mick used to called me Hiramcito and I called him Miguelito which is the diminutive of our names in spanish.
Even though I cannot be with you in presence, my prayers were for you and the whole family. I am sure Mick is resting in peace and in the glory of GOD.
My sincere condolences,

My condolences to Fern, the children & family. Mick will truly be missed by all at The Vernon Co. home office. He truly lit up the office with his presence. Whenever it rains, I shall remember that he always wanted us to let him know since his office wasn't near any windows. Well Mick, it's not raining anymore - it is all sunshine! Rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Mick's family. I was shocked to hear of his passing since I did not realize that his health had deteriorated to the extent it had. I was fortunate to have met Mick a couple of times.....once when he came to Oklahoma for a Vernon sales meetings and another at a national sales meeting. He was always so pleasant and easy to work ....probably one of the nicest people I've ever known. His faith in God was always very apparent in everything he did or said which is an inspiration in itself. He will be missed so very much and will leave a very deep void. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate Mick's life.

Fern and Family, After working with Mick over our entire career--30 years. I've never met a more Faithful and Generous man as Mick. One thing is that Mick always looked for the good in people. Most of the times after Mick talked to a customer, they respected Mick and The Vernon Company more than before. I know firsthand how he brought the highest of ethics and morals to his peers. His legacy will carry on. And, I know he is now with the Lord almightly and that he will live into eternity. May God Bless all of you . Rick Vernon

Dear Perry Family
In the ten years I have been associated with the Vernon Company, I had the opportunity to speak with Mick many times. He was a true example of what fairness is among many other attributes. Mick had the presence of something bigger than life in the way he treated everybody. I will miss his kindness and the persistent "Mi Amigo" he had for us.
May God grant you peace and acceptance.
Fairwell mi amigo, until we meet again.
