Lynn Weigle

Lynn Weigle passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Upon Lynn’s request, his body has been cremated and no services are planned.
Lynn grew up in Des Moines and graduated from the old North High School in 1954. In 1953, he joined the Marine Reserves for two years and spent another four proudly serving the Marine Corps, from 1955 to 1959, where he was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California as a specialized radio tech. Lynn enjoyed working on his computer and photographing the birds and squirrels that he fed outside his apartment window. He cherished the time he spent visiting and traveling with his daughters and their children throughout Iowa and Colorado. He was a caring and thoughtful friend to many at his apartment residence and will be dearly missed.
Lynn is survived by four daughters, Michelle (Kevin) Kochheiser, Marianne (Tom) Aceto, Shelly (Ron) Counsell and Melisa (John) Bellio; two granddaughters and three grandsons; his sister, Patricia (Les) Greaves; a niece, nephew and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Janet Ross and Wilbur Weigle; twin brother, Larry; and sisters, Sally Lou and Marilyn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Animal Rescue League or Animal Life Line.
