Service Details
Steve Allen Johnson, 53 died May 1, 2008 at his home in Urbana, MO. A memorial service will be held at Noon Saturday, May 31st at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. A luncheon will be held at the funeral home immediately following the service.
Steve was born in Bancroft and lived most of his life in Des Moines. He was a carpenter by trade but a jack of many trades. He loved fishing, music, art, reading novels and playing drums.
Steve is survived by his mother, Shirley Erickson; brothers, Duayne Johnson and Ray Johnson; his beloved children, Tara Slaughter, Steve Johnson, Jr. and Savina Cervene; and his 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Duayne Johnson; his sister, Brenda Mitchell and his stepfather, Frank Erickson.

Aunt Shirley and Cousins,
I am so very sorry about cousin Steve, I greive for our loss, but rejoice in his gain sitting with our Father and catching up with Brenda. He had a huge heart for his family. His faith in our Lord should bring you comfort in knowing he's waiting for us on the other side, with wide open arms, a smile and a hug for each of us. Love you so very much.
