Lloyd Lyman "Whitey" Burt

Lloyd Lyman Burt, 85, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Kavanagh House on 56th . His body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at the gravesite at Avon cemetery Wednesday, May 7th at 10:30AM.

Lloyd was a World War II Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife Ora, sons; Bill (Vicki) Burt, Larry (Bonnie) Burt; grandchildren; Ron Burt, Diana Higgins, Wendy Burt, Janean Modlin; nine great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mahaila Burt, his brother Ernie, sisters Thelma Spencer and Arthelea Bennett.

Memorials are suggested to be sent to Kavanagh House in lieu of flowers. Friends and family are invited to the home of Ed and Janice Karnes at 1021 Ranchero, Des Moines following the memorial service.
