I just learned that Lori passed this last Feb. I was the program director of the DMU MHA program when Lori completed her masters degree. She was an excellent student. One of my favorite. We kept in touch over the years until I moved to NY in late 2016. I am so sorry for your loss. Lori left the world a better place.

The world was a much better place with her in it. She could always make me laugh every time I saw her and walk away feeling better. That was a gift. Peace to all of the Rathbuns and Johnsons.

I knew Lori through her work with her hospital and the Iowa Hospital Association where I am today. Lori was a wonderful lady who always lighted up my day anytime I would get to meet with her. The main thing I remember was her wonderful personality and her hugs. When she would meet with us here in Des Moines after every meeting she would give each one of us hugs, she was just that wonderful of a person. Even in todays world where hugging could be seen as unconventional her steadfast care and love was not going to stay within boundaries. I admired her so for that and I will always remember her for that and will take it with me forever as an example to share the love you have and you will be so loved in return. May God and Jesus bless you all and all your families.

I was deeply sorry to learn of Lori's passing. She was a woman of huge energy - what I remember best is her total commitment to getting things done right and her willingness to go the extra mile for anyone in her orbit. I miss her greatly.

Dear Rick and family,
I worked with Lori at Charter(westside) Hospital and later at Mercy. She was always positive and always caring and though we saw each other rarely in the past few years I will miss her. When you were with Lori you always had her full attention whether it was business or fun. I am so sorry for your loss. May God bless you and your family.
