Nancyann "Nancy" Yori

Nancyann Yori, 76, passed away February 15, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born May 22, 1941, in Idaho to parents Oris and Janice Prescott.

Nancy made a career in cosmetology as a hairstylist. She loved sewing, crafting, and shopping. Nancy enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and mushroom hunting. Above all else, she cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, and their time spent together.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband and life partner of 62 years, John; children, John (Kathy) Yori, Darcy (Mike) Darrah, and Matt (Kathy) Yori; grandchildren, Sammy, Maddy, Emma, and Jake; great-grandchild, Elli; brother and sister from the South, Annette and Bob; as well as other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Oran Prescott.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
