Larry F. Hodson, 72, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Larry was born June 3, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Roy and Mable Hodson. He was a member of Community Church of Christ. Larry worked for Regulus in the maintenance department, then ABM on the janitorial staff, and most recently at Walmart on SE 14th Street for the last 4 years. He enjoyed going to Iowa Cubs games, watching or listening to Chicago Cubs games, and watching Iowa Hawkeye and Cyclone football.

Larry is survived by his wife of 20 years, Ida; brother, Arlyn Hodson; sister, Kathern (Larry) Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, February 16, 2018, at Community Church of Christ, 4018 NE 45th Drive, Des Moines. Burial of cremated remains will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery at a later date.
