ROBERT OWEN BURK
Robert Owen “Bob” Burk, 70, Kansas City, MO, passed away February 6, 2018 in Kansas City. Visitation will be from 3-5pm, Friday, February 9, followed by Funeral Service at 5pm at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO. In addition, Visitation will be from 12:30-2:30 pm, Monday, February 12, followed by Funeral Service at 2:30pm at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines, IA, with burial and military honors at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Bob was born August 12, 1947 in Des Moines, IA. He served overseas in the US Army and was a Computer Systems Analyst. He loved to travel, have fun, and enjoyed fishing at the lake house. On January 19, 1974, he married the love of his life, Mary.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Donna (Kerker) and Elmer Burk. He is survived by: his wife of 44 years, Mary; sister, Karen (Dan) Shedenhelm; Inlaws; and nieces and nephews.

Mary I am sorry to hear of your loss of Bob. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Bob fought with his MS for so many years. I pray God will help you get through this difficut time. Bob fought a long Battle and you were always by his side Mary. I remember when you married. So sorry for the sad news. He was a hero and a fighter to the end.
