It is with a heavy heart and great sadness the world lost one of the toughest women we know. Linda Cooper, having been surrounded by the comfort of family and friends, passed away after a long struggle with COPD on February 6, 2018. Linda was born on June 11, 1947 in Mason City, Iowa.
Linda graduated from North High class of ‘65. She worked as a sec2 receptionist for the State of Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation. Linda enjoyed traveling and watching Sci fi movies. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandma.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 49 ½ years, Ed; sons, Eddie (Lindsey) Cooper, Mathew (Kelli) Cooper, Scott (Wendy) Cooper; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Vivian Main; and sister, Sherry Main.
Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 12, 2018 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Des Moines in memory of Linda.
