Barbara Ruth Lose, 92, passed away February 5, 2018 at home with her family by her side.
Barbara was born January 5, 1926 in Des Moines. She graduated from North High School. Barbara retired from Northwestern Bell. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Barbara is survived by her children, Marcia Flattery, Michael Lose, Marty Lose, Milissa (Rod) Chaffee and Angel Lose; grandchildren, Ryan, Jesse, Matt and Angela; several great-grandchildren; and many loving family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louis; grandson, Timmy; daughter-in-law, Lea; great-granddaughter, Hope; and her brothers and sisters.
The family will greet friends Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 1 to 3 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Barbara will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.

To all my cousins:
When I was young I would go over to the Lose's. Barb was always so nice and I loved the sound of her voice and her laughter. Great childhood memories at that house. She was loved by many in this life and will always be remembered by her acts of kindness.
