Bill, so sad to hear about your Mother passing on. She was one of my favorites - always said something to make me smile. Sorry I missed the visitation yesterday. Thinking about you, I'll be in touch.

Steve, Jeannie, Lora, Mark, Billy and families,
I was so saddened to open the paper and see Barb's picture. She seemed invincible to me. Over the last few days I've been reflecting on all the fun times we had at that house on Hull. I can hear her laughter ringing in my ears as I write this. She and George were two of the best! I hadn't seen your Mom in recent years, but I thought of her often. I know you all have a lifetime of memories, both sad and hilarious, to share. Cherish them. I'll bet George and Ray are waiting for her with open arms!

So sorry to hear of Mrs Ivanovichs passing. It seems as though I was at least 50 before I ever called her Barb and still find it awkward. What a neat lady with a big smile and even bigger or heartier laugh if you got her going. We grew up next door to the Ivanovichs on Des Moines St with many more memories than could ever be expressed here. As an adult I would run into George as he helped build half of the city of Des Moines, it seemed like with all the building projects he was in charge of for Neuman Bros. Our conversations were always about each others families and their interests. Whenever I would run into Barb she was always so gracious talking about my parents and her concerns for my brothers and sister. And when the time came for her to meet my daughter the same bubbly personality showed up. So you see she had a huge impact on the Young family, 3 generations. Thanks for the memories as that is what makes times like this bearable. Cherish yours as I will mine of Mrs Ivanovich. So, so sorry.
