Larry Grim, affectionately known as “Poncho” to family and friends, passed away at his home at the age of 71. Larry was born on February 1, 1946 in Dallas Center, Iowa.

Larry proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps and was awarded the Purple Heart. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and working in his garden. Poncho loved his western wear and could always be found with a button up on along with his cowboy boots. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Frankie (Mike) Glenn; two grandchildren, Dakota and Nataya Glenn of Adel, IA; three brothers, Robert Grim, Dick Grim and Jeff Grim all of Des Moines, IA; two sisters, Barbara Davis and Linda Grim of Des Moines, IA; and his 12 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Dorothy Grim; and sister, Carolyn White.
