Leon F. Dolquist, Sr.

Leon Dolquist, Sr., 83, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 21, 2018. He was born November 18, 1934, in Rock Island, IL, to Jack and Marie Dolquist. He was a veteran of the Army and was a self-employed handyman.

Leon is survived by his children, Leon (Cindy) Dolquist, Jr., Diane (Chris) Davis, Elsie (Dean) Butters, and Luci Harris, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Alice Dolquist, his parents, and his son, Richard Dolquist.

According to Leon’s wishes, cremation will occur. There will be a graveside service at Iowa Veterans Cemetery 2 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to his son, Leon.
