Life Reflections

Our Angel, Mrs. Stephanie Jean Bell (Robinson) was born on February 6, 1972 in Des Moines Iowa to her parents Steven Dewayne Robinson and Debra Fay Hale.

Stephanie was educated in the Des Moines Public School system and earned her GED from Des Moines Area Community College. She also obtained her CNA and was only credits away from her associates LPN degree. She was employed as an in-home healthcare provider for 22 years.

Stephanie was introduced to Jesus at a young age and became a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. She always knew the power of prayer and that she was a child of God. She enjoyed the company of others and had a special touch that reached the hearts of everyone who cherished the love she gave.

Stephanie had an unconditional love for her children and grandchildren that kept her driven and inspired. Her 1st priority was being a mother and when her grandkids came along they too received her absolute attention and love. She nourished them all, taught them the lessons in life and was their number one supporter while keeping them grounded. She was their Queen and as her kids would say, their Superwoman. She lived for her grandbabies, made sure they didn’t want for anything and they were always taken care of with their “Nani’s” love.

Stephanie met the love of her life Mr. Samuel L. Bell (her baby, her King Goldy) and their friendship blossomed into 14 years of love. They were married in holy matrimony on June 14, 2014. Sammy never questioned her needs, he provided no matter what and always met her every desire. He was her best friend, her soul mate, her true love and their bond will live forever and always.

Stephanie was a beautiful soul and a free spirit. She would tell you like it was and could give it to you raw and uncut but it was really the language of love to those who really listened and knew her. In her leisure time she listened to music, loved to dance and spending time with her grandbabies. She also loved to cook mouthwatering meals. She loved to travel and most of all she loved to shop and burn down the malls. She was a classy and sophisticated woman and took appreciation to the finer things in life. Her favorite color was pink, from her nails, to her outfits to the purses she carried and the jewelry she wore. You could count on her being” a boss” and a lady from head to toe. The realist Pretty in Pink.

Stephanie Jean Bell (Robinson) departed this life on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the age of 45 after a strong fight with breast cancer. She was a legend in her own right and built her own legacy of strength and courage while battling her illness. She was honored on billboards and was treasured as the face of the “Fight for the Cure” campaign. She was an amazing wife, mother, sister, auntie and friend and will always be remembered and truly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her in this life.

To carry on her memory, her beloved husband Samuel L. Bell, her dearest daughters Tysonda Millsap, Tylinda Millsap and Darnazia Mitchell (Kevin Mitchell); her adored sons Mathew Millsap and Darren Butts; her grandchildren Elijah Gates-Bell, Mathew Millsap Jr. , Justus Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, Stephen Millsap, A’Niyah Mitchell and Quincion Butts; her father Steven D Robinson Sr.; her loving sisters Felisha Robinson and Treseanae Robinson and brothers Steven Robinson Jr, Terrance Robinson, Clasean Robinson her nieces Jazsmine Wright (Teonte Smith Sr.)Yazsmine Wright, Aleia, Tazsmine, Jaidah, Dajih, Ta’zyah, Miayla, Amariyah Robinson, Laila Patrick & A’riyah Stewart; nephews; William L.
