Please forgive me if I am overstepping a boundary because you do not know me personally. However, 12 years ago I lost my beautiful 28yo daughter to cancer. However she had MANY health issues...but her biggest battle was type 1 diabetes. On her 20th birthday she almost died from diabetic ketoacidosis, but pulled through. Parents who must say goodbye and bury their children then become part of a "Shattered Heart Forever" club. My remaining child, my 37yo son almost left me in January of 2012 when I found him on the floor in seizures. By noon that day he was having brain surgery for a tennis ball sized blood clot on his brain above his right eye. Please accept my sincere feelings of caring and hurting for another parent and I will be praying for some sort of peace in your mind, heart and life as you now learn to live a new type of "normal" life. May God truly hold your heart in His hands and bless you somehow for every single tear you cry. Remember...death may take away your Jared's body, but nothing can ever have all of the memories that you hold so carefully in the deepest part of your soul. Dwell on them and they will help carry you through.
Take care of yourself, please.

When I saw the unmistakable name August Wright, I knew I had to read the obituary. What a lovely tribute to your son. Although I did not know your son - and haven't seen Augie in many years - please accept my most sincere sympathy. I have a son and can only imagine the depth of your pain and loss. My thoughts are with you all.

If my memory recalls things correctly, Jared was my student in First Grade. Jared was a wonderful young boy to have in the classroom. My heart goes out to his family and friends. May all your shared memories comfort you in the years to come.
