Elizabeth Arthur

Elizabeth “Ann” Arthur, 77, passed away January 14, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa. She was born December 25, 1940, in Des Moines, the daughter of Alex and Elizabeth Lindblom.

Ann had been a member of the Eastern Star and was also a member of Staves Memorial United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

Ann is survived by her children, James Arthur and Jennifer (Charles) Greenlee; her grandchildren, Kayleah Stanley and David Greenlee; her step-grandchildren, Michelle Tedder, Tiffany Rohelia, and Jennifer Marie Greenlee; nieces and nephews, Harold Fretheim, Karen Danaher, Barbara Garnett, and Eric Fretheim; as well as many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; father of her children, David Arthur; son, Daniel Arthur; and sister, Leona Fretheim.

Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. with a funeral service to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Burial will conclude the service at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Grand View University, or the Eastern Star Scholarship Fund in loving memory of Ann.
