Michael "Dan" McFadden

Dan McFadden, 65, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2018 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. He was born in Polk City, Iowa on June 22, 1952, to Charles “Chic” and Dorothy McFadden.

Dan enjoyed fishing, boating and being outdoors. He was a long time member of the Jefferson Iowa Golf Course where he enjoyed golfing. Dan also enjoyed attending his children’s sporting events and activities from high school to college. Dan served in the US Army as an MP from 1972 to 1974 and was stationed in Korea and Fort Bragg.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Anne; his children, Robert Weston (Carla) McFadden and Erin Anne (Kelsey) McFadden; his sister, Connie Olive of Oklahoma City; sisters-in-law, Jerri (John) Forest and Mary (Al) Decato; as well as many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother and father-in-law, Weston and Wilna Brossard; and his uncle, David A. Goss, Jr.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 5 to 8 pm at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, Iowa.
