Lesa Marie Parker

Lesa Marie Parker, 40 passed away on January 11, 2018 to be with our eternal Father in Heaven. She was born on June 17, 1977 in Des Moines, Iowa to Vincent and Mary (Allred) Berardi.
Lesa grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines in 1995. After high school she attended Mercy College of Health Sciences. She worked as a contractor for the USPS. Lesa was very talented at creating beautiful decorative arrangements for her home. She was a natural for making/sewing art, jewelry for her family and friends.
She was a spiritual person and had a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her family was her greatest love. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Lesa married Jeremy, the love of her life, in 1999 in Des Moines. They were happily married for 19 years. Lesa enjoyed dance, gardening, decorating, activities with her family, and occasionally working alongside her husband.
Lesa is survived by her spouse, Jeremy of Des Moines; daughter, Alexis Parker (Javon Kemp) of Des Moines; sons, Jeremy Parker of Des Moines and Triston Parker of Fort Worth, TX; parents, Vincent and Mary Berardi of Des Moines; mother-in-law, Sherry Graham of Des Moines; brother, Roy Shaw of Des Moines; sister, Laura (Clint) Phillips of Collinsville, OK; as well as several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that are all loved and cherished.
Lesa was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clyde and Shirley Allred; paternal grandparents, Anthony & Sally Berardi; sister, Stephanie Shaw; and father-in-law, Alvin Parker.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5900 SW 9th Street in Des Moines. Visitation will be held the evening prior from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18th at the funeral home. Lesa will be laid to rest at Avon Cemetery in Des Moines.
