I am a retired VA Medical Center employee and first met John at the hospital. I always enjoyed talking to him. He was a very quiet and nice man. I also was pleased to see John at my church (Christ the King Catholic Church). It was a blessing that he had a strong faith and love for the Lord. I was out of town when he died, however, my prayers and sympathy are with his family, especially for his nephew Zach Daly.

My heartfelt condolences for the loss of your beloved, John. Please know that Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ is aware of your pain and they care for you. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) . I pray that you are able to find comfort in God's promise of paradise where there will be no more pain and sorrow (Revelation 21:4,5) and the many wonderful memories of your loved one becoming a reality in the future resurrection in paradise. (Acts 24:15). Please accept my sincere condolences.

My sympathy to all of John's brothers and sisters. Growing up on a farm immediately northeast of John's family, I have many fond memories of times spent with my classmates Mark and Mike and their older brother John. I remember his laugh and his great sense of humor. I knew that John lived in the Des Moines area and I greatly regret not seeking him out to get together and reminisce about the good old days. I will be out of town on December 28th so I will not be able to express my condolences in person, but please know that I am thinking of all of you and that I hope to see you some time soon.
