Linda Vance

Linda Vance, 70, passed away on December 20, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born in Des Moines, on November 24, 1947.

Linda is survived by her husband, John; children, Teresa Vance and Veronica and her husband Johnny Gladwin; four grandchildren, Kaitlin Vance, Cody Hochart, Ashley Gladwin, Emily Gladwin; sisters, Frances Smith of Des Moines, Iowa, Jane Anne Shierholz of Des Moines, Iowa, and Harriet Shierholz of Des Moines, Iowa; brothers, Bill Schierholz of Ft. Richey, Florida and Robert Shierholz of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Louis Shierholz; granddaughter, Hailey; and brother, Paul Beckler.

Linda retired from Bishop Drumm. She enjoyed reading, music, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Memorial visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home 105 4th Street SW, Altoona.
