Donna was born May 7, 1932 on her family farm near Lake View, IA, the daughter of Henry and Olga (Weitzel) Stock. She was united in marriage to Fred Wessendorf on January 2, 1951 at Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake, IA. Donna graduated from Lake View High School and attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA. In 1951 – 1952 Donna taught first and second grade at Cornell, IA. In 1954-1955 she taught kindergarten in Fenton, IA. She did substitute teaching during 1956-1958 in Churdan, IA. Donna was a member of the National TTT Society Chapter D of Des Moines and Faith Lutheran Church.
Donna is survived by her husband, Fred; and two sons, Chris of Sacramento and Tom (Provi) of Chicago; two daughters, Nancy Holt (Mike) of Wichita and Beth Galles of Cedar Falls; her sister, Marjorie Glasnapp (Myron) of Sac City; her aunt, Ardyce Stock of Lake View; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Donna was the proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter-in-law, Laura Wessendorf.
Donna found great comfort in the following verses: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height or depth, nor anything else in all of creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8: 38-39.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to Faith Lutheran Church or the Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) a food bank.
Burial will be at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Van Meter, IA. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

Fred, Received a note from James Willis of Donna's passing. My sympathy to you. Married for 66 years is a remarkable expression of the love that the two of you had. Now she is in the arms of one who can love her even more, the One who came at Christmas to embrace us all. Blessings.
